Webinar Particle characterization by dynamic light scattering - NMWP WebTalk

In the NMWP Innovation2GO WebTalk "Particle characterization using dynamic light scattering", Dr. Daniel Hagmeyer from Microtrac Retsch GmbH gives an introduction to the technology of particle characterization using dynamic light scattering and the NANOTRAC product family.

The strength of particle characterization using dynamic light scattering (DLS) is its versatility - particles with sizes ranging from a few nanometers to micrometers can be analyzed using this method, which is as fast as it is precise. The light scattered by the suspension and the Brownian molecular motion provide information about the size, volume concentration and zeta potential of the particles in the medium. This makes this method in particular suitable for a wide range of applications in both research and industry, including pharmaceuticals, ink, ceramics, beverages & foods, colloids, microemulsions, cosmetics, chemicals, polymers, industrial minerals, inks, adhesives and many more.

Microtrac instruments consist of highly flexible DLS analyzers that can be operated without the use of consumables. They provide information on particle size, zeta potential, concentration and molecular weight. The innovative design of the NANOTRAC series provides fast measurements with reliable technology, highest precision and accuracy. The unique and flexible probe design allows to choose from a wide range of measuring cells for any application. This allows samples to be measured undiluted in original concentration over a wide concentration range.
